We are currently recruiting New Product Development Technician.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual with a science background to join our team. As a New Product Development Technician, you will support our Senior Cosmetic Formulation Chemist in developing own brand and private label products. You will also work closely with various internal teams, including marketing and production, to turn concepts and ideas into fully-functional products. 

As our New Product Development Technician, you will be part of the product development team, responsible for assisting in designing, developing, and optimizing new and existing product formulations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and clients on production and scale-up processes. Plus, provide technical support  to internal departments including Quality, Marketing and Production. This exciting role is suitable for someone with an interest in cosmetics, skincare, and the personal care industry. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop innovative and high-quality cosmetic formulations. 
  • Support our Senior Cosmetic Formulation Chemist and lead the scale-up process of laboratory formulations to full production, ensuring consistency and quality. 
  • Work with our marketing team to understand consumer needs and translate them into new product ideas. 
  • Work closely with regulatory affairs to ensure all products comply with local and international cosmetic regulations. 
  • Prepare technical documents, including product specifications, formulation procedures, and safety assessments. 

Qualifications/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related science field. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting. 
  • A basic understanding of cosmetic ingredients. 
  • Experience in product development, formulation, and optimisation is preferred. 
  • A solid ability to manage relationships with clients and suppliers. 
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
  • Research and analysis skills. 
  • Presentation skills.
  • A team player.
